In the New Yorks Comic con it was announced by the creator of the dragon ball universe Akira Toriyama that a new dragon Ball story is coming back in 2024 by the name of Dragon Ball Daima.
The production of the anime movie has started and is expected to be released next year and its teaser trailer for Fall 2024 has also been released on Toei Animation Youtube channel which you can see above.
Toei Animation announced that it is well into production on Dragon Ball Daima, a new series that will see a number of classic Dragon Ball Z characters like Goku, Vegeta, Bulma and even many more fan favourite characters like Supreme Kai, Master Roshi , Piccolo transformed into children similar to the way Goku became a child in Dragon Ball GT.
Akio Iyoku the executive producer at Toei described Toriyama as being “deeply involved beyond his usual capacity” in its production process and teased that he “has planned entirely new episodes for the storyline.”
Currently we do not know what the story may have for us but it will be taking place after dragon ball super storyline and from the teaser trailer we can assume that the turning of all the characters was a wish granted by the dragon balls.
And a new villian will be introduced in this who has all the history knowledge of Goku and all the villians or beings he had defeated.
And from the looks of it I think a character on the level of Grand Zeno could be intorduced in the series as we know that Grand Zeno is involved in the destruction of universe there is also a character who is involved in the creation of dragon ball maybe he will come into light in this series.
Is Dragon Ball Daima Canon ?
Dragon Ball story, Daima is, in fact, canon. It’s the latest canon entry in the franchise following Dragon Ball: Super Hero‘s 2022 debut, and fans have been looking forward to its announcement for a while now.
We just cant say for sure when does it happen before or after dragon ball super as it may be related to dragon ball Buu saga as we see Babidi the wizard who had woken up Majin buu from sleep in the teaser trailer or it may just be a coincidence or maybe the new villian is somehow related to Majin Buu and Babidi.
