Best Stranger Things Characters of All Time

With the release of the final trailer for the horror suspense genre series Stranger Things, marking the much-awaited final chapter of the Hawkins and Eleven story, we are now going to list down the best characters from this series.

The character that we will rank will be based on its importance to the narrative, how much it was loved by the audience, and how well we connected with it.

So let’s start our list of the best Stranger Things characters of all time.

Eleven

Eleven is not just the main character but also the heart of the series.

From the very beginning, we see her grow from a scared lab girl into the hero of Hawkins.

Her powers, her emotions, and her journey to understand love and friendship make her the best part of Stranger Things.

The way she fought the Demogorgon, faced off against Vecna, and always tried to protect her friends just made us fall for her more every season.

From being an orphan to becoming a daughter who lost her father,r the last season will tell if she has a happy end or not?

Steve Harrington

From being the school jerk in season 1 to becoming the best babysitter and fan-favourite character, Steve’s transformation is amazing.

He’s cool, funny, brave, and just a guy who deserves better in love, too.

His friendship with Dustin is one of the best things in the series, and his hair… well, that’s a character on its own.

Dustin

If there’s one character who brings the right balance of brains, humour, and heart, it’s Dustin.

His loyalty to his friends and his love for science and Dungeons & Dragons are just too lovable.

His moments with Eddie, Steve, and even Suzie are just so wholesome.

He’s also the only one who made us laugh during the most serious moments.

Hopper

Hopper starts as a broken man who has lost everything, but through El and the kids, he finds a new purpose.

His journey from a grumpy cop to a loving father figure and total badass makes him one of the strongest characters, emotionally and physically.

His fight in the Russian lab and the final scenes with El are just unforgettable.

Max

Max may have joined in Season 2, but she quickly became one of the most loved characters.

Her strong and bold nature, mixed with her emotional struggles with Billy, gave us a deep and powerful arc.

That scene with her and Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” in Season 4 is one of the best scenes in the whole series.

Currently, by the end of season 4, she had been put in a comatose state and in their final season, we will know how she will recover from the attack of Vecna.

Eddie Munson

Even though he was introduced in Season 4, Eddie became an instant favourite.

He was misunderstood, weird, and completely himself.

When he was shown I was of the opinion that he would be the first to run away as soon a creature from upside down show up.

But he was a hero from heart who to save others died a rockstar.

He gave us laughs, tears, and the most metal moment ever with his guitar scene in the Upside Down.

He died a hero, and honestly, we still aren’t over it.

Lucas

Lucas has always been that one logical voice in the group.

He doesn’t believe things easily, but always stands with his friends.

His development from a sarcastic kid to a caring boyfriend and brave fighter has been great to watch, especially during the Season 4 finale, where he fought Jason to protect Max.

Nancy

Nancy is brave, smart, and never afraid to speak her mind.

She is the sister of Mike Wheeler and among the very first few adults who came to know about the powers of Eleven in the show.

Her role as a journalist and monster hunter makes her one of the strongest female characters in the show.

Her bond with Jonathan, leadership in the group, and sharp-shooting skills in the final seasons make her unforgettable.

Robin

Robin joined the party in Season 3 and instantly clicked.

Her friendship with Steve, her funny awkwardness, and her honest personality gave a fresh vibe to the group.

She, even though a teenager, mixed in with the kids group very well in the beginning. When we saw her in the restaurant, she gave an awesome vibe.

She also brought LGBTQ+ representation to the show and handled it beautifully.

Plus, she helped crack the Russian code!

Joyce Byers

Joyce is the mom we all wish we had.

She never gave up on Will, even when the whole town thought she was crazy.

She’s brave, caring, and always ready to face monsters or Russian spies if it means saving her kids.

Her relationship with Hopper is something fans have rooted for since Season 1.

Will Byers

Will might not get as much spotlight as others, but let’s not forget — he was the reason the whole story started.

His connection to the Upside Down and his emotional struggles make him one of the saddest yet most important characters.

His quiet suffering and friendship with Mike touched many hearts.

And many fans speculate that in this last season of Stranger Things, Will will confess his feelings for Mike to him.

Mike Wheeler

Mike was the leader of the kids’ group in the early seasons and the one who believed in Eleven the most.

While he had fewer great moments later on, he still played a big role in keeping the group together and giving El a reason to fight.

But, current in scope of importance being a major character, he has now been put on the sidelines, nor is his importance to the story, nor is he that big for humour part.

Jonathan Byers

Jonathan is the quiet, protective older brother we all respect.

From helping Joyce fight the Demogorgon to supporting Nancy and staying calm in chaos, he has always done the right thing.

He may not be the flashiest, but he’s definitely dependable.

Murray Bauman

Murray is the unexpected hero.

A crazy conspiracy guy turned Russian ninja. He brings humour, smart thinking, and total chaos — in a good way.

His presence has saved many characters, and let’s not forget he learned Russian and beat up a KGB agent.

Argyle

A new addition in Season 4, but man was he fun.

The guy just wanted to chill, eat pizza, and vibe.

But still, he helped the group escape danger multiple times with nothing but a van and a heart of gold.

Every group needs a guy like Argyle.

So that’s our list for now. Stranger Things has a big cast, and honestly, almost everyone has had their moment to shine.
